EcoClou AirSensor

Registered Community Design No 006970612-0001, declared for patent protection as invention and for legal protection as a utility model.

The project won the prestigious Ekolaur Award in the Ecoproduct, green technologies category in 18. edition of the Competition “Ekolaury of the Polish Chamber of Ecology 2019” (see diploma).

Our advanced device offers functionalities for measuring and signalling air quality with light colour in open areas and in the workplace. It is equipped with LED lighting, which, based on the results of current measurements of particulate matter concentrations as well as other impurities, takes on a colour in accordance with the Polish Air Quality Index, as shown below.

The solution is designed to raise public awareness of air quality and warns against harmful contaminants in open areas, as set out in the table below. In addition, it can be used to measure health-damaging factors in the working environment, minimizing the risk to workers.

The system contains the following communication modules:

Wi-Fi/GSM that allows to use a wireless LAN to connect to the AirSensor platform, enabling the access to the detailed data from the measurements of installed on devices sensors, presenting that data on a map in real time or conducting historical analysis (tables/charts),

Bluetooth® enabling communication between the device and the AirSensor mobile app, through which you can control the parameters of the device and read the current measurement results of installed sensors.

Mobile App EcoClou

The system provides detailed results of the airborne pollution. Measurements of the selected device can be read using the EcoClou mobile app.

Depending on the model:

• sulphur dioxide (SO₂)
• ozone (O₃)
• pm 1, PM 2.5, PM 10
• formaldehyde
• carbon dioxide (CO₂)
• nitrogen dioxide (NO₂)
• additionally, measuring atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity.

Protective degree: IP 65 for optical part and power supply system.

Material: anodized aluminium alloy.

Shade: frozen made of methyl polymethacrylate (PMMA).

After the measurement, it indicates the current air condition, according to the colour assigned to the contamination.

Predicted LED life: 25,000 h.

Number of LEDs: 256 RGB LEDs.

The device can also operate in a LED lamp mode or in split mode (some LEDs are used as LED lighting and some remain a pollution indicator).

Application

Surroundings of office buildings, parks, walking trails, outdoor playgrounds, outdoor sports fields, outdoor gyms, preschool and school gardens, also indoors and production halls.

EcoClou obtained the right to use the “Product recommended for the Good Design 2020 competition.” “This award indicates a high design level and high commercial value of the product.”
